This clearance is marginal at best.  We know that the track balloons at speed and will actually come off of the drivers in many scenarios. This has been proven over and over again because we've all experienced track ratcheting.  If all we have is 3\/8'' of clearance (without any ice build up) and that track moves away from the drivers as little as 3\/8'' we will have a hard contact. A hard contact is a performance killer. You will be responsible for bottom gear\/belt protection.
