We'll ship your order as soon as stock arrives.

The Renegade 3.0 is Oxbow's newest backcountry radio. It's smaller, lighter and tougher than the Renegade 2.0, and it costs less. At about 4 oz, you'll barely notice it on your pack strap. It's fully waterproof (IP67), it charges over USB-C, and it has a large push-to-talk button you can press with gloves on. The screen is LED, not LCD, so it's designed not to interfere with your avalanche transceiver.

This Snowmobile kit includes the mounts you need to wear the radio on a backpack or avalanche bag shoulder strap.

Features

2-watt FRS: license-free, 22 channels with 121 privacy codes per channel, and works with other FRS snowmobile radios

Range: typically 1–5 miles in the backcountry, and up to 35 miles line of sight

Waterproof: rated IP67 (1 m for 30 minutes)

Avalanche-friendly display: a shatter-proof LED screen instead of LCD

Glove-friendly: oversized push-to-talk button, plus a keypad lock

Battery: 1250 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion, charges over USB-C and works with fast chargers

Extras: 11 NOAA weather channels, dual channel watch, roger beep, and a 30-second transmit timeout so a stuck button can't jam the channel

Specs

Weight: 3.99 oz (113 g), radio only

Size: 3.15 × 2.01 × 1.10 in (4.35 in tall with the antenna)

Frequency: 462–467 MHz, with an integrated antenna

In the box

Renegade 3.0 radio

Tether

Renegade vertical mount

Renegade 30 mount

Renegade backpack shoulder strap mount

A radio doesn't replace avalanche rescue gear.
