Bikeman Performance 140-300 primary clutch spring (SKU 05-140-300) for Polaris Patriot RMK Boost mountain sleds only, on the Matryx Mountain Chassis. It does not fit trail boost models: Indy Boost, Switchback Boost, or VR1 Boost. The spring controls when the drive clutch engages, the primary upshift force under heavy boost in steep, high-elevation powder, and peak shift RPM. It has a 140 lb initial load and a 300 lb finish load. The softer start aims to prevent track trenching on takeoff, and the firmer finish aims to hold target RPM on long climbs without over-revving or fading. Made of high-tensile alloy spring steel meant to resist heat sag and rate loss under vibration, rapid compression cycles, and underhood heat. Calibrated for the horsepower curve, elevation, and track resistance of deep-snow RMK models; helps prevent belt slippage. Primary drive clutch spring.
