Ski-Doo Gen 4 & Gen 5 Upgrade & Fitment Guide

Freshies Built stocks upgrades for Ski-Doo sleds: Gen 4 and Gen 5 Summit, Freeride, Backcountry, Renegade and MXZ, with the 600R, 850 E-TEC and 850 E-TEC Turbo engines, plus older REV XM/XP models. This guide sorts our Ski-Doo parts by what they do and calls out which chassis and engine each one fits, so you can build your sled in the right order. Not sure what fits yours? Send us your model year and model and we'll confirm before you order.

Step 1: Know which Ski-Doo you have

Most Ski-Doo parts are split by chassis generation and engine. Before you order, check:

  • Chassis: Gen 4 (about 2017–2023), Gen 5 (2023+), or older REV XM / XP. Bumpers, skid plates, seat covers and some shocks are made for one generation only.
  • Engine: 600R E-TEC, 850 E-TEC or 850 E-TEC Turbo. Clutch kits, exhaust and ECU tunes are listed separately for each.
  • Model and front end: Summit / Freeride (mountain), Backcountry, Renegade or MXZ, plus front-end width (for example 34" or 36"). A-arms, spindles and ski shocks are listed by these.

Clutching and stage kits

Stage kits pair clutch calibration with matching parts, so the sled stays tuned after you add power. If you change exhaust or add a tune, start here.

Exhaust and tuning

Choose by engine (600R, 850 or 850 Turbo), chassis generation, and sound level: quiet, trail, mountain or competition.

Shocks

We carry FOX (including iQS and QSE), ZBROZ and Ohlins shocks for Ski-Doo. Check ski vs. track shocks, Gen 4 vs. Gen 5, and front-end width.

Ski-Doo upgrade FAQ

What should I upgrade first on a Ski-Doo Summit?

Most riders start with weight and control: a lightweight muffler, risers and a bar that fit you, and a brake lever. On an 850 E-TEC Turbo, pair any exhaust or tune change with a matching clutch kit, like the SPEEDWERX Exterminator kit for the Summit 850 Turbo.

Do Gen 4 parts fit a Gen 5?

Some do, some don't. Many ZBROZ A-arms, IceAge Elevate and ski shocks are listed for both Gen 4 and Gen 5. Bumpers, skid plates, rails and several shocks are made for one generation only, so check the title before you order.

Do Ski-Doo parts fit a Lynx?

Often. Lynx mountain sleds share a lot with Ski-Doo, and many listings, such as ZBROZ A-arms, IceAge Elevate, Fire 'N Ice intake vents and some GGB exhaust, name both Ski-Doo and Lynx. If a listing names only Ski-Doo, contact us before ordering for a Lynx.

How do I confirm fitment before I order?

Check the model years, engine and model in the product title. If you're unsure, contact us with your model year, model and track length and we'll confirm.
