Arctic Cat Catalyst & Alpha Upgrade & Fitment Guide

Freshies Built stocks upgrades for Arctic Cat sleds: the Catalyst (600 and 858 C-TEC2), the Alpha One and Ascender 8000 C-TEC2 sleds, and older ProClimb/ProCross 8000 and 9000 models. This guide sorts our Arctic Cat parts by what they do and calls out which engine and chassis each one fits, so you can build your sled in the right order. Not sure what fits yours? Send us your model year and model and we'll confirm before you order.

Step 1: Know which Arctic Cat you have

Arctic Cat parts are split by chassis and engine. Before you order, check:

  • Chassis: Catalyst (2024+), Alpha One / Ascender (mountain), or ProClimb / ProCross (older M, XF and ZR). Bumpers, A-arms, shocks and seat covers are listed by chassis.
  • Engine: 600 C-TEC2, 858 C-TEC2, 8000 (800 C-TEC2) or 9000 turbo. Clutch kits, exhaust and turbo kits are listed separately for each.
  • Track and model: M (mountain), Riot (crossover) or ZR (trail), plus track length and lug height. Stage kits and bumpers are often listed by these.

Clutching and stage kits

Stage kits pair clutch calibration with matching parts, so the sled stays tuned after you add power. If you change exhaust or add a turbo, start here.

Arctic Cat upgrade FAQ

What should I upgrade first on an Arctic Cat Catalyst?

Most riders start with clutching and weight: a stage kit matched to the 600 or 858 engine, plus a lightweight muffler. Our own Freshies Built Stage 1, 2 and 3 Catalyst kits are a good place to start.

Do 600 Catalyst parts fit the 858?

Not always. Clutch kits, exhaust and turbo kits are made separately for the 600 C-TEC2 and 858 C-TEC2, so we list each one separately. Chassis parts like bumpers and A-arms are listed by Catalyst model and track length instead.

Do Alpha One and Ascender parts fit a Yamaha Mountain Max?

Some do. Many listings, such as SPEEDWERX stage kits, ZBROZ Ascender shocks and the IceAge Alpha Elevate, name both the Arctic Cat M 8000 / Alpha One and the Yamaha Mountain Max 800. If a listing names only one, it's built for that sled.

How do I confirm fitment before I order?

Check the model years, engine and model in the product title. If you're unsure, contact us with your model year, model and track length and we'll confirm.
